        Chat widget

How the chat bubble looks on your website. Visitors see changes on their next page load.

An image address (https://…), or /logo.png, /logo-white.png and /mark-white.png (the V + lightning) for the Volyte images built in. Leave a box empty for no logo, or the standard chat icon on the button.

For a different message on certain pages (e.g. pricing), use Triggers; they take priority.

        Office hours

Outside these hours the widget shows "We're away" and asks for an email address, even if you're logged in.

📱 Answering from Telegram? With office hours on, anyone who has connected Telegram and is set to Online counts as online during these hours, even with the dashboard closed. Visitors then see "We're online", the auto pop-up appears, and you reply from Telegram. Send /away to the bot (or pick Away here) when you're busy.

        🤖 AI assistant

An AI assistant answers visitors from the business information you write below. When it can't help, or a visitor asks for a person, it hands the chat to your team and alerts you. As soon as anyone on the team replies, it steps back from that chat.

Choose an AI provider and save its API key below first.

        When should it answer?

        🌐 Translation

Visitors chat in their own language and your team reads and replies in yours. The chat box gets a 🌐 button where visitors pick their language (the box's own text switches too). Each message is translated both ways automatically, including languages typed in English letters, like Telugu written “naaku help kavali”. You always see the original under the translation.

Translation uses the AI provider from 🤖 AI assistant. Choose one and save its API key first (the AI assistant itself doesn't have to be turned on).

Each translated message is one small request to your AI provider, so it adds a little to your AI bill. You can switch translation off for any single chat from the chat's 🌐 menu.

        ✉️ Email

The mailbox Volyte Chat sends email from: chat copies for visitors (“Email me this chat”), and alerts to your team for messages that arrive while you’re away. In cPanel, create a mailbox such as support@volyte.com under Email Accounts, then enter its details here. cPanel shows them under Connect Devices.

        Triggers

Automatic messages that pop up for visitors after some time on a page, like "Need help choosing a plan?". Each visitor sees at most one per browser session, and a chat only starts if they reply.

        Banned visitors

Banned visitors and their IP addresses can't see or use the chat. You ban someone from the visitor details panel (ℹ️) in a chat.
